Learning from the Southern Europe reality, the author lists the main causes for water scarcity like water availability vs demand, lack of water quality, insufficient use of solutions (namely digital!) or water governance without considering the true economics of the water management.
In addition, the author goes through various solutions, giving practical examples that can be consulted and briefly describing how they contribute.
If I had to choose one lesson for teams working on Water Scarcity from this OER it would be: focus both on having a supply of good quality water and a reduction of its demand – how can your solution takes this into account?
