Patrick FlachParticipantDear Alessandra,
I have found several examples and I hope this will help you and especially your students:
1) One outstanding example is the “Society & Nature – Intergenerational Sustainability Pact” program of the Baden-Württemberg Foundation (Germany). This project aims to sensitize people of all ages to the importance of protecting the region’s flora and fauna and to demonstrate concrete options for a more sustainable lifestyle. As part of a roadshow through various landscape areas in Baden-Württemberg, events are offered that focus on the interplay between nature, culture and agriculture. The aim is to raise awareness of biodiversity and anchor cross-generational knowledge.

2) At international level, the Global Strategy for Plant Conservation (GSPC) is part of the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity. One of the aims of this strategy is to promote education and awareness of plant diversity and to create specialist capacities for its conservation. Integrating the importance of plant diversity into educational programs is a central concern in order to stop the loss of plant diversity.

3) Initiatives in Italy:
– „Azioni e voci per il clima“ – Langhe, Piemont
– „Angoli di Biodiversità“ – Mailand
– „Aule Natura“ – WWF Italia & Procter & Gamble
– „Paesaggi in evoluzione“ – Parco Nazionale dell’Alta Murgia
– World Biodiversity Association (WBA) – „Giornata della Biodiversità“If you need anything else, please get in touch at any time 🙂
Best regrads,
Patrick
